Where It Started

My interest in technology didn’t begin with having the newest devices, but with figuring out how to make the ones I had work for me.

From upgrading my first laptop so it could just barely play Minecraft to building my first gaming computer piece by piece, I learned that performance wasn’t always about buying something new. It was about understanding what could be improved.

A Different Perspective

Too often, devices are discarded simply because it feels easier to replace them.

That mindset never made sense to me. I grew up fixing things instead of throwing them away. If something stopped working, my instinct was to open it up and figure out why.

Over time, I began to see how uncommon that approach had become. Replacement became the default, even when a small fix or upgrade could extend a device’s life for years.

That realization changed how I think about technology. I don’t see repair as optional. I see it as necessary. People should be able to maintain and improve the devices they own.

Repair keeps technology in circulation. It reduces unnecessary waste and pushes back against systems built around planned obsolescence.
